President-elect Donald Trump announced Jan. 7 a $20 billion plan to ramp up data center development in Arizona and several other areas across the United States.
The effort will be financed with an investment led by Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani, who is the head of Damac Properties, a luxury real estate developer in the Middle East and United Kingdom.
Trump plans to target Arizona in the investment’s first phase, along with Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan and Indiana.
