COOLIDGE — Coolidge, Casa Grande, Maricopa and other cities across Arizona have helped bring the state to No. 6 on the U-Haul Growth Index for 2024.
According to a U-Haul press release, it’s the fifth consecutive year the state made it on the company’s top 10 growth list, after ranking eighth in 2023.
The company analyzes one-way customer transactions over the past year.
U-Haul customers moving to Arizona accounted for 50.4% of all one-way traffic in and out of the state, with 49.6% departures last year.
In year-over-year changes, U-Haul arrivals into Arizona rose almost 1% while departures fell that much in 2024.
The growth states are ranked according to each state’s net gain or loss of one-way equipment from customer transactions in a calendar year.
