Gilbert museum’s new space nears completion

Gilbert’s only museum is making headway toward completion of its “Building Communities for All Ages” project with a 6500-square foot space rising in the courtyard next to the main structure.

Denise Lopez, President & CEO of HD SOUTH: Home of the Gilbert Museum, said the town has long required affordable rental spaces for community gatherings and meetings that the new building will provide.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new building took place in September last year and Lopez expects that work will be completed by April.
