A new 48-unit housing unit aimed to help veteran seniors experiencing homeless opened on Monday.
Native American Connections’ Osborn Point, 3406 N. Third St. in Phoenix, aims to provide secure, furnished housing and services for veterans and those over age 55 who have experienced chronic homelessness.
The project is part of Native American Connections’ efforts to build supportive housing programs to help those older people living on the street. Applicants are welcome if they are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, are a victim or trying to flee domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking, require assistance to avoid becoming homeless, or are a veteran who meet one of the three criteria.
