Pima County approves contracts for affordable housing

The Pima County Board of Supervisors approved three gap funding contracts for affordable housing projects at its Sept. 16, 2025, meeting.

The funding recommendations, made by the Pima County Regional Affordable Housing Commission, were approved by the Board on March 18, 2025, as part of its $5 million allocation for Fiscal Year 2024-25 toward the development and preservation of affordable housing in Pima County.

The approved contracts are with:

  • Lariat Village Propco, L.P. — $673,000 for Lariat Village, 120 units of new apartments at 860 E. Irvington Road
  • Habitat for Humanity Tucson — $1 million for Mars Landing, 30 new homes at 4440 W. Mars St.
  • Pima County Community Land Trust — $234,316.00 for Barrio Anita Casitas, six new homes (northwest of downtown)
