CASA GRANDE — City councilmembers and executive staff participated in a two-day strategic planning retreat, taking a high-altitude look at how the city is dealing with rapid population and economic growth.
Mayor Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons was joined by fellow councilmembers Anthony Edwards, Bob Huddleston, Brent BeDillon, Rebecca Romo, Sean Dugan and Mayor Pro Tem Matt Herman. Also present at Thursday’s first session were City Manager Larry Rains, Deputy City Manager Steven Weaver and Assistant to the City Manager Robert Aldous. Later in the agenda city executive staff were also present.
The event at Francisco Grande Hotel & Golf Resort on Oct. 9 and 10 was facilitated by Lance Strategies, with the aim of developing a draft strategic planning document that will be presented to the mayor and council at a future council meeting. No official action or decisions were made at the meeting.
