Mesa wants to have a strong brand identity – much like Apple, Nike and Amazon do – that resonates with residents, businesses and visitors.
And it’s good for economic development, city staff argues.
Staff recently got the go-ahead to move forward to hire an outside consultant and come up with city-wide branding after council in the spring retreat indicated a need for a unified one. Mesa is the state’s third largest municipality and 36th biggest in the country.
