A grand opening celebration with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a variety of family-friendly activities runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The new library will close for the day after the grand opening event and begin normal operating hours on Monday.
What to expect at Gateway Library in Mesa
The new 28,000-square-foot library features a digital art wall, THINKspot makerspace, teen lounge, children’s area and outdoor plaza.
It also has a sensory room for neurodivergent individuals, a nursing room for mothers and multiple outdoor spaces for programming and visitor use.
