Maricopa, AZ, December 17, 2025 – The City of Maricopa passed a key milestone in updating our General Plan — the roadmap that guides how Maricopa will grow and evolve over the next 10 to 20 years. The city has released the initial Public Review Draft of the Advancing Maricopa General Plan Update. This draft follows public outreach and community input over the past year.
Residents and stakeholders can visit the project website at www.MaricopaGP.com to review the Draft General Plan and submit feedback through the survey link. The survey will be open to receive comments from the members of the public for two months. The last day to submit comments on the Public Review Draft General Plan is Friday, February 6, 2026. Following the close of the comment period, the Draft General Plan will be revised as it moves into the phase of the update process.
