Sundt Construction has begun building a 65,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Apache Junction. Once the first phase is operational, the facility is expected to create roughly 100 new jobs. On January 30, city officials, Sundt leadership, and community stakeholders gathered for the groundbreaking of what officials say will be the largest industrial building in Apache Junction.
The Sundt Construction Apache Junction facility will manufacture structural and mechanical systems. These include items like pipe spools, trestles, and piping for water treatment skids. The products will support the company’s construction projects across Arizona and the country. According to the latest figures reported by the company, Sundt is an employee-owned general contractor with approximately 4,500 employees nationwide. The company has been headquartered in Arizona since 1929.
According to the company’s latest press release, the facility also includes approximately 10,000 square feet of office space. During the July 2025 City Council meeting, Economic Development Director Ryan Kaup said a typical industrial building of this size would contain only about 2,000 square feet of office space. The office component will serve as a regional training center, with Sundt employees traveling to Apache Junction for training programs. The facility may also partner with local educational institutions.
