As part of Invasive Species Awareness Week, Pinal County District 5 Supervisor Jeff Serdy encourages residents to check their properties for invasive plant species, specifically Globe Chamomile or Stinknet.

Hiking in Extreme Heat Safety

While it’s safest to avoid hiking completly in the heat, District 5 Supervisor Jeff Serdy and Director of Open Space, Trails and Regional Parks, Scott Hamilton, provide a series of tips to help prevent heat-related illness for those who do choose to hike in the Arizona heat.

Planned Peralta Road Improvements

As part of future improvements, Pinal County Public Works has begun installing fencing along the newly acquired right-of-way on Peralta Road through State Trust Land to the Peralta Trailhead. 

“To do the road improvements, it has to be fenced,” Pinal County District 5 Supervisor Jeff Serdy said. “That’s one of State Trust Lands requirements.” Continue reading

Kings Ranch Road – Pavement Work

🦺From March 30-April 17, Kings Ranch Road in Gold Canyon will be undergoing pavement work between U.S. 60 and Sunrise Sky Dr.

🚨Work will involve speed reductions and lane shift which may cause delays.
