Peoria City Council will have two competitive races this year — for mayor and the Pine District.
For mayor, current Palo Verde District Councilmember Michael Finn will go against former Peoria Police Chief Art Miller.
The other competitive race is for the Pine District, representing south Peoria. It will pit Eva Osuna against Joysaphine Waitman-Powell.
The noncompetitive races include incumbent Councilmember Jennifer Crawford in the Acacia District and Tad Snidecor for the Palo Verde District.
All races will be on the Nov. 3 general election ballot because, under the city’s charter, with only two candidates the races skip the primary election.
