Trader Joe’s will open its 22nd location in Arizona this fall at Desert Ridge Marketplace, 21001 N. Tatum Blvd.
According to Tim Ray, regional director of property management at Vestar, the Marketplace has worked with Trader Joe’s for several years to open this location.
“We’re extremely excited to officially welcome them to the shopping center,” said Ray. “We feel like it’s really going to not only enhance the tenant mix at Desert Ridge, but you know, also provide an…added component to the North Phoenix community.”
Trader Joe’s blends in well with the community, Ray said, and will benefit the businesses in the area.
“Grocery-anchored centers are proven traffic drivers…that consistently drive traffic to our destination,” he said. “And we think it’s really gonna benefit not only the property but other tenants, particularly the small businesses and restaurants in the area.”
From comments on their social media channels, as well as patrons visiting the center, Vestar has seen overall positive feedback from the community, he said.
“We always see a lot of hype for, you know, well-known brands like Trader Joe’s and so, there’s been a very positive reaction,” he said.
