Arizona has what it takes to become a leader in the global space economy, but it will take greater coordination among industry, academia and government to make that happen. And, the clock is ticking.
That’s the assessment from Ben Smith, who in May took the helm as CEO of Space Rising, a nonprofit that’s spearheading growth of Arizona’s space economy via research, collaboration, technology and ecosystem development.
Shruti Gurudanti, Rose Law Group Partner and Space Law Director, tells RLGR,
“Az is poised to win this race not by out-launching Florida or Texas, but by out-lawyering them by building the regulatory clarity, and legal infrastructure that lets space companies actually move fast once they’re here.”
