CLARIFICATION

In our October 17 story, “Feds heighten scrutiny of foreign investment program funding PhoenixMart; Casa Grande project has no violations,” we stated: “PhoenixMart has a clean record with the EB-5, Debbie Kliss of the national law firm Ballard Spahr told Rose Law Group Reporter.” (Ballard Spahr is aiding a federal agency in policing the EB-5 program.)

We had asked Kliss, “Do you have any information regarding an EB-5 investigation or violations concerning the PhoenixMart project at Casa Grande, Az.?”

We misunderstood her e-mail response, which read, “No we don’t, no info about it positive or negative.” Kliss subsequently  said Monday, “I have no familiarity with PhoenixMart.”

We apologize for any confusion the article created.
