Rebecca Rios is looking to return to the Legislature, but she won’t be representing Pinal County if she does, reports the Yellow Sheet, which she told she is planning to run for the LD27 House seat being vacated by Catherine Miranda, who is running for the Senate.

Since losing her re-election bid in 2010, Rios has moved to the Laveen neighborhood in South Phoenix.  She is the daughter of Pinal County Supervisor Pete Rios.

So far, the only other Democrat to file paperwork to seek the open House seat in the South Phoenix district is Edy Blackwell, who has filed paperwork to run for the Legislature in the past three elections, but never made the ballot.
