Bisbee council to appoint MacKinnon interim city manager

On Tuesday, the city council and mayor will discuss the possible appointment of city attorney John MacKinnon as the interim city manager during the regular meeting.

According to the agenda, if the appointment goes through, MacKinnon would start on Jan. 3 at the rate of $60 an hour.

Documents for the agenda item state: “The interim city manager shall serve as the administrative head of the government of this city with all of the authority, duties and responsibilities that are specified in the City Charter and in the ordinances, resolutions and other actions of this city, as these may be amended from time to time, during the time that this appointment shall be in effect.
