Gilbert – Trammell Crow Co.a> in Scottsdale (Jim Mahoney, Cathy Thuringer, principals) plans to develop a 618,000-square-foot industrial park on a 48-acre site the company is buying along the south side of the San Tan Freeway (202 Loop) and east of Gilbert Road in Gilbert. The property is owned by Carlson Real Estate Co. of Minneapolis, Mn. (Matt Van Slooten, pres.). Word on the street is that Trammell Crow will pay roughly $10.5 million ($5 per foot) to purchase the land in a deal scheduled to close in March. The sale is being brokered through Pat Harlan, Steve Sayre and Kyle Westfall of Jones Lang LaSalle in Phoenix. A fee is also being paid to Stein Koss of Lee & Associates Arizona Inc. in Phoenix and Mike McQuaid and Mike Garlick, both formerly of Lee & Associates and now with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank in Phoenix. Preliminary site plan from Butler Design Group in Phoenix shows six buildings ranging from 50,000 sq. ft. to 150,000 sq. ft.
