University campus in sight for Surprise

An announcement that a four-year university will build a full campus in Surprise should happen soon, Mayor Sharon Wolcott said Feb. 27.

The mayor mentioned the campus, which would be the fulfillment of a long-held desire of Surprise leaders, in her annual State of the City address.

Wolcott provided only a few details after the speech, which she delivered to a packed house of more than 200 people at the Colonnade, near Grand Avenue.
