medical marijuanaArizona’s medical marijuana cardholders breathed a big sigh of relief today when the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that they can’t be convicted of a DUI unless they are impaired.

“Now medical marijuana patients don’t have to be afraid every time they get in their car,” said Ryan Hurley, an attorney with Rose Law Group, who represents numerous medical marijuana patients and dispensaries.

“Nobody’s advocating for impaired driving, but the person’s mere status as a medical marijuana cardholder should not subject them to a DUI conviction,” he said.
