Global Water preparing application to ACC to install water, sewer service to Estrella

The City of Maricopa is planning to expand its partnership with Global Water Resources to provide water lines to the vacant Estrella Gin Business Park.

Nearby Fire Station 575 recently got hooked up to Global’s infrastructure, opening the door for service expansion to the business park, located at 45862 W. Garvey Ave.

Micah Miranda, economic development director for the city, said the move will help draw businesses to the area. “It’s all about shovel-ready sites,” he said. Planners envision Estrella Gin as part of an industrial and office corridor for potential businesses.

Miranda said a developer has expressed interest in the 52-acre site, but was vague on the details.
