A narrow parcel of agricultural land immediately north of Chandler Municipal Airport may see upcoming development: the Metro Chandler Airport Center.
On Aug. 1, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved rezoning the 25-acre parcel on the southwestern corner of Cooper and Germann roads to Planned Area Development for business-park use. The site formerly was zoned as an agricultural district.
If approved by City Council on Thursday, Oct. 23, the upcoming development would feature two large industrial buildings for mixed use, such as office space, educational facilities, places of worship, financial institutions, service retail and recreational activities, according to a planning memo. A smaller third building would add automotive-accessory sales and installation to its possible uses.
