Paradise Valley Town Council in January is expected to once again take up discussion on the future development of the Ritz-Carlton resort — nearly seven years after it was first approved by the council and town residents.
On Thursday, Jan. 22, the council is expected to host a public discussion on proposed plans to amend a 2008 special-use permit that allowed, among other things, a 225-room Ritz-Carlton resort on just over 100 acres of land primarily within town limits.
The discussion will take place at Town Hall, 6401 E. Lincoln Drive.
Paradise Valley Mayor-elect Michael Collins has tapped Councilman David Sherf to lead a three-person council work group with the goal of supporting incoming town manager Kevin Burke in preliminary discussions with representatives of Five Star Development.
