Pima County officials backed off on a threat to strip a southwest-side subdivision of its development plan, at least for now.

The Board of Supervisors postponed a vote on Tuesday to wipe the slate clean on the undeveloped portions of Star Valley, a subdivision that’s been in the works on the far southwest side near Valencia and Wade roads since 1987.

Board members discussed the issue with their attorneys in an executive session during Tuesday’s meeting, and made no comments before rescheduling the issue for the board’s Jan. 20 meeting.

County officials have been wrangling with Star Valley developer Joseph Cesare for more than a decade.
