The city of Phoenix, and potentially the Phoenix City Council, will face some disparate and hard to reconcile arguments and end games when it considers plans to host events at a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house in Arcadia.
The owner of the house, attorney Zach Rawling, has submitted a new historic landmark designation application with the city of Phoenix. The home is one of the last designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and mirrors his design for the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Rawling also wants to host events at the home — an idea that faces opposition from a number of influential neighbors and Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio.
