Former Scottsdale City Manager Fritz Behring, who was fired in March after a nine-month absence following a seizure and stroke, will receive a $55,000 settlement from the city and agree to release Scottsdale from any claim of wrongdoing.
The Scottsdale City Council approved the settlement Tuesday, two months after terminating Behring’s employment over “serious doubt” about his ability to resume the city’s top bureaucratic post.
