Listening In: Tusayan, Stilo press ahead, even without USFS approval

It has been seven years since the community of Tusayan made the controversial and closely watched vote to incorporate as a town, 116-77.

The move stoked fears it would open the doors for an Italian developer to stack town boards with supporters and follow through with plans to build hundreds of homes and millions of square feet of commercial space at the edge of this gateway to the Grand Canyon’s South Rim.
