ADOT to spend $185M expanding Loop 101

North Valley commuters could see some relief for congestion on the Loop 101 by Fall 2020 as the result of an RFQ the Arizona Department of Transportation this week.

The department plans to spend $185.4M to expand the freeway between Interstate 17 and Pima Road through a Design-Build project.

According to the Request for Statement of Qualifications portion of the packed, ADOT says, “The work includes design and construction for new general purpose lanes on SR 101L in both travel directions.
