The city of Phoenix is looking to sell two midtown parcels off Central Avenue near the Heard Museum with hopes of bringing in new development.
The city has issued a request for proposals for developers or other users to buy municipal-owned parcels on Holly Street in between Central and First avenues.
The city is looking for a purchase price of at least $242,000.
Phoenix would like to see a transit-oriented development to the parcels which are near Metro light rail up Central Avenue and have access to McDowell Road.
The two lots at 36 and 42 Holly Street total 23,069 square feet.
“The city of Phoenix is looking for innovative development proposals for the Holly Street parcels in the request for proposals,” said Gretchen Wolfe, procurement officer for Phoenix’s Community and Economic Development department.
Bids are due June 15.
