Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving files for bankruptcy protection

The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Chandler filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Tuesday afternoon.

The celebrated driving school ushered in its 50th anniversary earlier this year. It has been located on 100 acres at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler since 1990. The school features a 3-mile track and is the largest driver training facility in the world.

Bob Bondurant, a high-profile personality in the auto racing community, started the school, and his wife, Patricia Bondurant, is the company’s current president and CEO.
