Avondale to vote on updated impact fees, looks at City Center development

The Avondale City Council is slated to vote tonight on newly calculated development impact fees.

The updated fees would go into effect on August 1 if they are approved by the council.

Avondale brought in consulting firm TischlerBise to help determine the fees and the methodology behind them.

The council will also look at and discuss a real estate development analysis of the Avondale City Center area conducted by Elliott D. Pollack & Company.

The City Center area is located along Avondale Boulevard in between Interstate 10 and Van Buren Street. The Pollack study looked a real estate and economic development opportunities and challenges in the 402-acre area.
