Arizona’s economy saw 4 percent GDP growth in 2018.

That was among the best in the U.S. along with Washington state (5.7 percent).  Utah (4.3 percent), Idaho (4.1 percent), according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Arizona’s GDP gains bested California (3.5 percent), Texas (3.2 percent), Florida (3.5 percent), Colorado (3.5 percent) and Nevada (3.2 percent), according to BEA.

Those are states Arizona often competes with for jobs and business site selections.
