Proposed Winery Suites development in Old Town tries again

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

Developers of a planned 31-unit apartment building with a market in Old Town Scottsdale will again appear before the Scottsdale Planning Commission today after having their plans continued because of parking concerns.

The Winery Suites of Scottsdale are planned for a 0.37-acre lot at First Street and Goldwater Boulevard. The site is currently home to two single-story office buildings.

All 31 new apartments in the proposed four-story multifamily building are slated to be one-bedroom units

The Old Town property is owned by Fassco Investments LLC.

Plans now call for 38 parking spots for the 31-unit complex. That is seven more than in previous plans. They include three tandem parking spaces where two spaces are stacked behind each other.

Parking has become a concern in Old Town with several new developments proposed.
