In Arizona, a Modern Home Bathed in Black and White

The owners paid $1.2 million on a vacant lot at the base of Mummy Mountain in Paradise Valley, Ariz., in order to build their dream home. It is on the market for $6 million.

After moving to Arizona in 2007, Matt and Jennifer Capone began following the competitive market of Paradise Valley, a small, upscale town where they hoped to buy a property. ‘Paradise Valley is the Beverly Hills of Arizona,’ Mr. Capone says. In 2017, a vacant parcel caught the couple’s attention.
