A new Fry’s Marketplace is coming to Gilbert. Retail developer Evergreen Devco broke ground this week at the Post at Cooley Station, a 172,000 square foot shopping center going in near the ASU Polytechnic campus and Mesa-Gateway Airport.

The center is being built on 23 acres at the southeast corner of Recker and Williams Field roads. It will contain 23,000 square feet of multi-tenant shop space across three separate buildings.

In addition to Fry’s, AutoZone, Taco Bell and Burger King have signed preleases.

Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels said the shopping center will be a great amenity for the fast-growing area and called it a “symbol of the prosperity of Gilbert.”
