The Yuma City Council is scheduled to vote today on plans to rezone 33.38 acres of undeveloped farmland for a proposed residential development.

The property owner KDC of Yuma LLC (the James E. Kerley Living Trust) wants to build 22 homes on the parcel.

The property is located at Avenue 9E and 24th Street in Yuma.

The council is being asked to change the zoning on the land from agriculture to low-density residential.
