Construction began Tuesday on a $100 million industrial development in Goodyear that will bring 1.3 million square feet of speculative space to the market.
Phoenix-based Tratt Properties is developing the Elwood Logistics Center, and is calling the development the largest speculative industrial development to ever break ground in the Phoenix area.
The development will sit on 83 acres at Sarival Avenue and Elwood Street, south of the junction of Interstate 10 and Loop 303.
Construction costs for the facility are estimated at between $60 million and $70 million.
The site is in a pending foreign trade zone and an “opportunity zone.”
