Riley | Smith Construction & Development has completed construction of The Noble, a 15-unit loft apartment community at 2722 N. 7th Street in Phoenix. The Noble is Riley | Smith’s first adaptive reuse residential project in Midtown Phoenix, with the company converting a 1970’s ±8,843-square-foot commercial office building into a modern, luxury apartment complex.
Riley | Smith purchased the office building located just south of the southwest corner of 7th Street and Thomas Road in 2016 realizing there is an extensive need for elevated rental housing in the central core.
“We realized that there wasn’t a lot of desirable niche rental options in Midtown Phoenix, especially near the 7th Street restaurant corridor,” said Riley | Smith Principal Dustin Riley. Riley added, “As we looked at opportunities to develop rental units in the area we became aware of obsolete, vacant office buildings that no longer worked as office space but had the potential to become apartment communities.”
