The parent company of Fry’s Food Stores is giving a bonus to all of its hourly workers who are keeping grocery stores open during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

Fry’s is a subsidiary of Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., the nation’s largest grocer.

Kroger (NYSE: KR) announced Saturday that it is issuing a one-time bonus to all of its hourly frontline employees, which include grocery, supply chain, manufacturing and customer service workers. That bonus amounts to $300 for full-time employees and $150 to part-time workers.

Fry’s is the fourth-largest employer in Arizona, with 6,140 full-time employees and 10,625 part-time employees, ranking No. 4 on the Business Journal list of the state’s largest employers.
