6 candidates to be on Maricopa City Council ballot; Price unopposed

MARICOPA — Monday marked the end of the filing period for Maricopa City Council and mayor positions. The candidates who secured the required signatures and turned in their paperwork are now officially on the ballot for Aug. 4 primary.

The candidates for Maricopa City Council include two current members Julia Gusse and Nancy Smith, as well as Bob Marsh, Andre LaFond, Linette Caroselli and Amber Liermann. With no competition, Mayor Christian Price is set to be elected for a fourth term in a row, and his third unopposed.

Council candidates will work hard in their respective campaigns to prove their capability on city council, and many have already made their platforms clear.
