Dillard’s will start reopening its Arizona stores today while Nordstrom will reopen its store at Scottsdale Fashion Square on Thursday as the economy emerges from some of COVID-19 lockdowns.
Nordstrom previously announced it is not reopening its store at Chandler Fashion Center as part of a round of permanent closures.
Dillard’s has 14 stores in Arizona including Scottsdale Fashion Square, San Tan Village, Paradise Valley Mall and Superstition Springs Mall. It also has clearance center in Phoenix and Casa Grande that will reopen on Wednesday.
Retail stores have been reopening after Arizona Governor Doug Ducey lifted some COVID-19 business closure orders.
Macy’s opened its 7 Phoenix area stores on Monday. Urban Outfitters is also open. Other stores at local malls are also reopening though some are still closed due to COVID-19.
Department stores and other reopening businesses are instituting social distancing and other healthy safety measures in response to COVID-19.
Fitness centers have also been reopening. Scottsdale-based Mountainside Fitness, for example reopened its 18 clubs across the Valley on Monday.
