Zoning OK’d for new hotel/convention center near I-10 in CG

CASA GRANDE — A new Holiday Inn may soon be gracing the area near Interstate 10 in Casa Grande.

The City Council approved a zoning request to amend an existing planned area development zone for a new hotel and convention center to be built on 4.65 acres near the U-Haul storage center east of Camino Mercado.

The four-story, 213,708-square-foot hotel is to have 116 rooms and a 6,000-square-foot convention center that can seat 440 guests. The new hotel would have access to Camino Mercado via a long driveway.
