$60M aviation project breaks ground in Mesa O-Zone

Nearly 400,000 square feet of hangar and office space has begun construction in the City of Mesa in a push to keep going during a corona-induced economic downturn. The worldwide pandemic has halted many industries, but construction continues as companies aim to relocate in Arizona. The partnership with Davcon Aviation and Mesa Hangar is expected to help attract new jobs. 

The development is inside an Opportunity Zone, specially designated by the U.S. Treasury Department to stimulate investment. “This is just the type of investment Falcon Field and Mesa have needed to grow the aviation sector of our economy,” District 5 City Councilmember David Luna said.
