Rose Law Group calls for a round of applause for litigation attorney Jonathan Udell, who was unanimously voted in as a Board Member of Arizona NORML. He will also serve as the Communications Director for the local chapter of the cannabis legalization advocacy group.
NORML says their mission is to “move public opinion sufficiently to legalize the responsible use of marijuana by adults, and to serve as an advocate for consumers to assure they have access to high-quality marijuana that is safe, convenient and affordable.”
The organization recently hosted a podcast about the gray area for Medical Marijuana card holders and legal gun owners. Among the panelists for the highly contended topic discussion were Adam Trenk, Rose Law Group Partner and Director of the Cannabis, Hemp and Equine Departments and fellow Rose Law Group Partner Logan Elia.
Udell says, “I am elated to join the Board of Arizona’s NORML chapter and to become its Communications Director at such a critical time for both the organization and Arizona. In the United States, we have a unique constitutional freedom to speak our minds and, therefore, to think freely. Prosecuting victimless crimes helps no one, leads to the incarceration of good people, and detracts from the citizenry’s confidence in the law. I look forward to doing all that I can to ensure the Smart & Safe Act becomes law and to secure a more just legal system in Arizona.”
Arizona NORML works to reform state and federal marijuana laws, whether by voter initiative or through the elected legislatures.
They also serve as an informational resource to the national media on marijuana-related stories, providing a perspective to offset the anti-marijuana propaganda from the government; lobbies state and federal legislators in support of reform legislation; publishes a regular newsletter; hosts, along with the NORML Foundation, an informative web site and an annual conference.
