What has changed in Apache Junction since affordable-housing study was completed

A decade after an affordable-housing study was done for Apache Junction, the city has made some strides but lacks public transit for its residents.

The housing assessment and strategic plan was funded by a grant from the Arizona Department of Housing and conducted in 2009-10 by the Drachman Institute, a planning and architecture organization housed by the University of Arizona in Tucson. The institute assessed demographic and land-use data to recommend solutions on affordable housing.
