Mary Hamway plans to work with fellow Republican Kate Brophy McGee in hopes of unseating Democrat Eric Meyer in District 28, which covers northeast Phoenix, Arcadia and Paradise Valley.

“I’ve had a short break from my duties on the Paradise Valley Town Council and now I am ready to bring my energy and ideas to serve the residents of LD28,” she said.

In the coming weeks she will start building her campaign team, launching her website at maryhamway.com, and preparing for next year’s election season, she said.
