Everything we do seems to reflect an underlying personality trait including sneezes, an Illinois researcher said.
“Some people will have a loud, honking sneeze. Others try to stifle their sneeze,” said Dr. Alan Hirsch, founder of the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago.
Hirsch said those who stifle sneezes tend to be more introverted and insecure. They are typically more focused on pleasing other people.
Those who sneeze explosively are dramatic, self-confident and extroverted.
The Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation’s mission is to advance research and knowledge on the effects of smell and taste on human emotion, mood, behavior and disease states.
