*Perfect weather is in the forecast. Great players and teams now arriving in Scottsdale. It’s going to be a fantastic Friday and Saturday for America’s largest polo event: The Scottsdale Ferrari-Maserati Polo Championships. With so many new elements this year there is little doubt we will exceed last year’s attendance of 9,188 at the Penfolds Polo Field at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

*For cigar lovers the featured Scottsdale Cigar Club will showcase Willy Carrazana, a Cuban born cigar craftsman at their Scottsdale Cigar Club Lounge on-site at The Polo Party.
*Vendors: We had just a few last year. This year they have grown 10-fold, creating a whole new “shopping” element to the festivities.
*REMINDER: Don’t forget the Molina Fine Jewelers VIP Polo Preview Party onThursday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Molina Fine Jewelers is located at 3134 E Camelback Rd. in Phoenix. Dress Polo and meet all the players and teams that will be playing on Friday and Saturday. The event is being graciously hosted by Molina Fine Jewelers and Penfolds Wines. *REMINDER: On Friday, November 1st from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. enjoy a test drive, at the Penfolds Polo Field at WestWorld, courtesy of Scottsdale Ferrari-Maserati before the match and gates open that day. Look for details Monday.
*Race fans will excited to see Bob Bondurant driving onto the field and doing the “First Drop” just before the 1:00 p.m. match on Saturday.
*Phoenix International Raceway has been a great partner of our event from the outset. This weekend launches “Race Week” as the track gets ready to host one of the most important NASCAR races of the year next weekend. Check it out!
*The Heineken Red Star Corral debuts November 2nd. Open on Friday as well, Saturday is when it will be fully animated with drinks and DJs, courtesy of Smashboxx. Think Bird’s Nest, but right on the field of play. And it will be the location for the on-site After-Party from 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
*On Friday, November 1st gates open at 3:00 p.m. before the Phoenix International Raceway and My Sister’s Closet teams square off at 4:00 p.m. featuring the best players in Saturday’s matches. Some reserved tables, as well as tickets are available atwww.thepoloparty.com. The day will conclude in the Volvo of Phoenix Fashion Lounge with a fashion show presented by Phoenix Fashion Week.
*Some of the best players and teams highlight “Spectacle Saturday.” The country’s best female player Sunny Hale, American polo star Jeff Hall, a U.S. Military Team, one from Wales featuring top players in the UK, the 2012 college champions from the University of Virginia and the sport’s most amazing story in the form of Work to Ride, as featured on 60 Minutes and HBO. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. with matches at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
*We are pleased to welcome back colorful play-by-play announcer Steve Lewandowski from the San Diego Polo Club to bring you all the action along with KTAR Sports Talk Show Host John Gambadoro.
*Our operations and security teams have been enhanced with veterans from the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show and Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. We have also added tent concierges to aid your experience in tented areas.
*And we are pleased to welcome the Arizona Porsche Concours d’Elegance to the event this year. Those amazing cars will be on display all day Saturday.
*Lastly, if you are intrigued by the sport don’t forget the Arizona Polo Club will be hosting an introductory clinic on Sunday at the same polo field. Learn what it takes to get involved and enjoy this amazing sport.
