After decades of serving farmers and animal owners in the area the long-time business is closing it’s doors in Coolidge in the coming weeks.
Nighly Gillespie and Nayla Ramirez have co-run Coolidge Grain since the mid-1990’s, and before that their dad, Jerry Wofford, ran the store for five years prior.
“It’s just the right time,” Ramirez said. “We tried to stay with it for as long as we could, but it was the right time with how things are going economically and we both have other plans and career aspirations.”
Ramirez has had plan to enter the nursing program at Central Arizona College, and her Gillespie, started teaching at Coolidge High School.
