An affiliate of Phoenix, Ariz.-based Cole Real Estate Investments Inc. has purchased a South Milwaukee supermarket building for $7.6 million, according to documents filed with the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds.

The building at 2901 S. Chicago Ave. is part of Grant Park Plaza, and is used by Pick ‘n Save. It was sold by a group led by Oshkosh real estate investor J. Peter Jungbacker.

Cole and New York-based American Realty Capital Properties Inc. announced in October their plans to merge, creating one of the world’s largest real estate investment trusts.
